Pride Month in Corpus Christi is more than rainbows and parties—it’s about community, movement, and joy. This June, local LGBTQIA+ groups and allies are coming together to celebrate Pride with events that get you moving and connected. Whether you’re a casual walker, an experienced runner, or just looking for a reason to get outside and show your pride, there’s a place for you.

Q.O.C.C. Walking Club – Queers of Corpus Christi

Launched this spring, the Q.O.C.C. Walking Club is already gaining momentum with a packed summer calendar of free, community-friendly walks. In June alone, they’re hosting:

• June 1: Pride Picnic & Walk at Cole Park – 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• June 7 & 21: Morning walks at The Watergarden – 9:00 a.m.
• June 11: Evening walk at Hans & Pats Wildlife Trail – 7:30 p.m.
• June 25: Evening walk at Schanen Hike & Bike Trail – 7:30 p.m.

CCTX Gay Running Club – New & Inclusive

Also newly formed, the CCTX Gay Running Club is a primarily LGBTQIA+ running group welcoming all runners, walkers, and paces. Their first event kicks off on Saturday, May 24, with a fun run starting and ending outside Lazy Beach Downtown. Participants can choose between 2-mile and 3.5-mile courses.

Electric Pride Run – A Neon Celebration

Presented by Pride Corpus Christi, the Electric Pride Run is a free, high-energy experience like no other. Taking place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13 at Lazy Beach Southside, this glow-in-the-dark celebration includes:

• Glow sticks
• Color light towers
• Dance music
• Free Pride swag
• A glowing photo booth and light-up lounge

No registration is required—just show up ready to shine.

Coastal Bend Pride Center’s 5K Rainbow Run

The 3rd Annual Rainbow Run/Walk 5K hosted by the Coastal Bend Pride Center is a sunrise celebration of health and community. Scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 7:00 a.m. at Cole Park, this official timed race offers:

• Registration: $25 for entry, $45 with a commemorative shirt
• Check-in: 6:00 a.m.
• Start line: Amphitheater
• Prizes awarded to top finishers

Runners are encouraged to dress in their best rainbow attire. All proceeds benefit the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation. Visit Eventbrite to sign up.
