Pride Corpus Christi invites the community to come together for a casual Boba Tea Social at @chateatx in Portland, a welcoming local spot known for its handcrafted boba teas and desserts.

After a turbulent start to the year, this gathering is an opportunity to reconnect, support one another, and simply be in community. There is no formal program, just space to slow down, share conversation, and enjoy a good drink together.

Cha x Cha x Cha Tea will be hosting us from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM on Sunday, January 25, and community members are encouraged to stop by at any point during that time.

The Parade & Block Party this year reflected something powerful: Pride is not going anywhere in the Coastal Bend.

What you see in this recap is a community that stands strong and refuses to be pushed to the margins. Pride Corpus Christi is home to a vibrant network of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies, including professionals, artists, creatives, entertainers, musicians, and countless others who continue to show up for visibility, for connection, and for one another.

✊🌈 Pride is, and always has been, a protest.

In the wake of the Pulse tragedy in 2016, our Corpus Christi community rose up to demand visibility, safety, and equality. That moment reignited our Pride Parade, carrying forward the spirit of protest and remembrance into the streets of our city.

The photos stretching back to 2017 remind us what it looks like when our community, holding signs high, voices louder, takes to the streets with love and determination.

That revival wasn’t accidental. It was built by the work and courage of organizers like Liz Musella-Robledo, Sarah Lydia, Dylan Rios, Korbin Boomer Matthews, CCLGBT, Kitana Sanchez, Brittany Andrews, and so many others who knew that Corpus Christi deserved a Pride of its own.

As we continue the tradition, we remember: Pride is not just a party. It is resistance. It is survival. It is the demand to live authentically, unapologetically, and fiercely free.

The tradition of Dykes on Bikes began at San Francisco Pride in 1976, when a group of bold, motorcycle-riding lesbians led the march to announce strength, visibility, and solidarity. Their powerful presence at the front of the parade wasn’t just about revving engines, it was about sending a message of protection, resilience, and unapologetic pride.

Here in Corpus Christi, our own Pride Parade has been led for several years by Dykes & Friends on Bikes, a tribute to the original trailblazers in San Francisco. Their role carries the same spirit: to ride at the front of the parade as strong, visible symbols of safety, leadership, and community pride.

It’s more than a tradition. It’s a reminder of the power of visibility, the importance of representation, and the way LGBTQIA+ history lives on in our local celebrations.

💪🏳️‍🌈 From San Francisco to Corpus Christi, the roar of the engines reminds us that strong voices and visible leadership pave the way for Pride.

This weekend, Pride is about more than a parade. It’s about neighbors, community, and the many ways we show up for one another.

Over 40 vendors will be with us, including four churches and an atheist community group, local artisans with handcrafted jewelry and wooden goods, and a wide range of food vendors, from trucks serving full meals to booths offering fresh lemonade, dirty sodas, kettle corn, and local craft brews.

You’ll also find organizations offering real resources and support. Healthcare providers like @wamhs_ will be there, along with groups such as @equalitytexas and @texrising helping with voter registration. And if you’re looking for a lighter touch, you can add glitter tattoos or hair tinsel to your look.

Together, this wide array of vendors and organizations reflects the true diversity of Corpus Christi, people of different beliefs, talents, and passions, all coming together to celebrate what truly makes you, you.
