Each year, Pride Corpus Christi honors outstanding individuals who embody the spirit of leadership, advocacy, and resilience within our LGBTQIA+ community. Through the roles of Grand Marshal, Emerging Leader Grand Marshal, and Drag/Diva Grand Marshal, we recognize the many ways our community members and allies contribute to progress, visibility, and joy.
The Grand Marshal is selected for their significant and lasting contributions to advancing equality and visibility in the Coastal Bend, serving as a beacon of advocacy and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Emerging Leader Grand Marshal highlights the next generation of changemakers—young leaders whose energy, innovation, and commitment inspire hope and ensure the future of our movement.
The Drag/Diva Grand Marshal celebrates the artistry, courage, and cultural impact of drag and performance, honoring those who use their stage and voice to uplift, advocate, and bring our community together.
Our board of directors thoughtfully deliberates each year to select honorees who reflect the values of inclusivity, equality, and positive change. Pride Corpus Christi is fortunate to be part of a community rich with passionate advocates and allies, and we are proud to showcase their achievements during the annual Pride Parade.

2023 Grand Marshal
Parents with Pride
Parents with Pride was created as a direct response to harmful rhetoric and policies in 2023, particularly targeting parents who support their transgender children.
Parents with Pride was created as a direct response to harmful rhetoric and policies in 2023, particularly targeting parents who support their transgender children. In a time when some lawmakers suggested parents could be liable for affirming their LGBTQIA+ children, these parents united to send a powerful message of love and solidarity—marching proudly with their children and one another. Recognizing this collective courage, Pride Corpus Christi honored this group rather than a single individual, celebrating their unwavering commitment to their children’s rights and well-being.
