About Caleb De Casper
Austin-based musician and LGBTQ+ activist Caleb De Casper blends dark synthpop with theatrical flair, bringing stunning, in-your-face performances. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, he commands the stage in avant-garde gowns, acid-glam makeup, and stilettos, redefining masculinity on his own terms. His 2019 release De Casper earned NPR praise for its haunting theatricality, and his full-length album Femme Boy explores brooding yet high-energy soundscapes, featuring collaborations like Sabrina Ellis on the heartfelt “Dreamer.” Honored with Caleb De Casper Day by the City of Austin, he has graced stages of SXSW, ACL Fest, and Utopia Fest, proving that his voice and vision belong center stage.
De Casper is currently working on his second studio album with pop producer Ribongia [Haiku Hands], releasing “Sik Culture” (mixed by Billy Hickey [Lana Del Rey, Ariana Grande]) followed earlier this year by his second single “Chemical Blue” – a sultry disco pop song that could have been in the backing track to the hit 1980's soap opera 'Dynasty'.
