Join the Coastal Bend Pride Center, a project of the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation, for a night of celebration and festivities at the first ever Coastal Bend Gayla! This event will be held at the Omni Hotel in downtown Corpus Christi on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The mission of the Coastal Bend Pride Center is to cultivate programs that will foster our local LGBTQIA+ community’s growth. We believe that investing in education is a key component in facilitating our local LGBTQIA+ community’s success. Therefore, the newest addition to our programs is a one-of-a-kind student scholarship! Incoming college freshmen to master’s level students will soon be able to apply for a $5000 or $2500 scholarship provided by the Coastal Bend Pride Center. We are committed to helping as many students achieve their education goals as possible. Funds for this program will come directly from our inaugural Coastal Bend Gayla through donations, corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, and silent auction sales.

In addition to fostering LGBTQIA+ community growth and strengthening community bonds, the Coastal Bend Pride Center provides a welcoming space where the community can connect with peers and utilize available resources. We are the first and only LGBTQIA+ community & resource center south of San Antonio. Currently serving 12 counties within the Coastal Bend region, the Coastal Bend Pride Center offers multiple social and support groups, counseling services, health access, advocacy initiatives, and community education and training.  We also work jointly with the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation to provide comprehensive wellness services for LGBTQIA+ clients, including primary health care and clinic services, counseling, behavioral health, substance misuse treatment, and free HIV/STI testing.
