Fall Pride Kickoff Party: Fundraiser for Kitana Sanchez’s Road to Miss Trans USA
Join us on October 4th for the ultimate Fall Pride Kickoff Party at The Bay Jewel, located in Downtown Corpus Christi! This exciting event is part of First Friday ArtWalk and celebrates our Pride Parade Grand Marshal, Kitana Sanchez, while supporting her journey to the Miss Trans USA competition.
Expect an unforgettable evening filled with incredible performances from Brittany Andrews, Kitana Sanchez, Vivi Lagrand, Dante Dior, Eva the Diamond Diva, and Honey Andrews. Alongside these dazzling performances, enjoy:

•Prizes and a silent auction
•Signature diva cocktails and more!
The party kicks off at 8:00 pm and goes until 10:00 pm, offering a night of fabulous entertainment and community support. DJ Ero-Soul will be in the mix, ensuring the vibe stays upbeat and lively all night long.
This 18+ event is not to be missed! Tickets are just $10, with net proceeds going to benefit Kitana Sanchez’s journey as Miss Trans Oklahoma USA 2024 and her road to the Miss Trans USA competition.

October 5, 2024 | 5:00 PM – The Great Lawn at Water’s Edge Park
Corpus Christi, TX – Pride Corpus Christi, a 501 C 3 non-profit, is proud to announce the 2024 Pride Parade & Block Party, taking place on October 5, 2024, at The Great Lawn at Water’s Edge Park. This year’s event will be bigger and better, with more marchers, floats, vendors, and an even larger stage to showcase our incredible lineup of local talent.
This year’s Pride celebration is presented by Hilliard Law, a leading social justice firm and Texas Trial Lawyers in Corpus Christi, recognized for their outstanding support of equality and civil rights. We are grateful for their partnership in making this year’s celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies possible.
Kicking off at 5:00 PM, the Pride Parade will feature over 500 marchers, including Miss Trans Oklahoma USA 2024 Kitana Sanchez as our grand marshal, along with participants from groups such as Dykes and Friends on Bikes, Walmart, the Coastal Bend Pride Center, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, and many more.
After the parade, join us for an unforgettable Block Party MC’d by local talent PrimaDonna Brooks with live entertainment powered by Unity 89.1 FM, Corpus Christi’s progressive LGBTQIA+ radio station, currently streaming online. The stage will feature performances from local LGBTQIA+ musicians and allies, including Moniq, Sergio Espinosa, AZUL Entertainment, Brittany Andrews, and many more. For attendees 21+, enjoy craft beer, hard seltzer, and margaritas from a local brewery.
Food trucks and a wide variety of vendors, including the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Texas, the Padre Island National Seashore, and local artisans such as Clover and Leaf, will be on-site, providing treats, locally hand crafted goods, and interactive experiences like photo booths, art installations, and more.
Prominent local politicians and candidates, including Solomon Ortiz Jr., Eric Cantu, City Councilman Jim Klein, City Councilwoman Sylvia Campos, and others will also be in attendance. Additionally, three voter registration groups will be present to help community members register to vote before the October 7th deadline.
This free event welcomes all to come celebrate, show support, and wear their Pride gear! Don’t miss the chance to be part of an inspiring evening filled with unity, fun, and Pride!

We are thrilled to invite you to participate in the second annual Coastal Bend Gayla, a festive evening of celebration and support for the LGBTQ+ community. This signature event will take place at the Omni Hotel in downtown Corpus Christi on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 7 PM to 10 PM. This year’s theme will be a 70s Disco Party!!
All attendees will be provided a plated dinner provided by the Omni Hotel. There will be a silent auction, 360 photo booth, cash bars (21+ only), special guest performers, and of course a dance floor so we can get out there and have fun dancing to some groovy disco music!!! The Coastal Bend Pride Center is a cornerstone for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Corpus Christi area and beyond, offering an inclusive safe space and a variety of crucial services. Established as the first and only LGBTQIA+ community center south of San Antonio, the Pride Center extends its reach to 12 counties within the Coastal Bend region. It focuses on nurturing a supportive environment through its social and support groups tailored to diverse needs, including those of youth, families, and the wider LGBTQIA+ population.
The Center’s dedication to mental health is evident in its counseling services, which cover a spectrum from individual to family therapy. They have a commitment to supporting the community\'s well-being, both mental and physical, with health screenings, HIV/STD prevention and education, and offering connections to LGBTQIA+-friendly healthcare providers.
Education and empowerment are also key missions of the Pride Center. They provide educational resources and training, aiming to increase LGBTQIA+ cultural competency and history awareness. The Pride Center actively hosts and organizes community events and programming to foster learning, networking, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights and well-being.
Furthermore, the Pride Center\'s involvement goes beyond providing services. They engage in community outreach and education to the general public and health providers, ensuring a broader impact for their advocacy and support initiatives.

Register to Vote: If you’re not yet registered to vote, now is the perfect time to take action. Texas offers several convenient ways to register:
- Online: Although Texas does not offer full online voter registration, you can fill out an application online and print it for mailing.
- By Mail: Download a voter registration application from the Texas Secretary of State’s website, fill it out, and mail it to the voter registrar in your county.
- In Person: Visit the Coastal Bend Pride Center or their booth at our block party on October 5th to register in person.
Important Deadline: The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming election is October 7, 2024—30 days before Election Day. Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in this essential civic duty.
Find Your Polling Place: To find your nearest voting location, check out the resources available on the Pride Corpus Christi website. Knowing where to vote is a critical step in making sure your voice is heard.
