This month is going to be really rocky for our community. In fact, the next four years will be.

We think it’s best to have a solidarity meeting/mixer where our community can come together with food and drinks, and talk about what they need or vent their dilemmas.

This Pride Night Out will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at @thehiddendoorcc.

This evening is just about trying to come together as a community and stay strong.

We hope to see you there! 💚

This year was amazing!

We had fun events, amazing performances, and created new memories we will always cherish. And we couldn’t have done that with you all.

Our community is strong, visible, and full of love. We know these next four years won’t be easy, but we are not going anywhere!

We spent nine hours yesterday discussing how this year went, how we want next year to go and goals we want to meet.

With our new board members, more doors of opportunity opened for our LGBTQIA+ community and we are excited to see how that can help us — especially with the next four years of uncertainty.

But we’re keeping our spirits up and making sure your safety and well-being are always at the top of our priorities. We can’t wait to let you know what we have planned for 2025 🎉

If you weren’t with us at the Pride Wicked Showing, you may have missed out on some important news! We have FOUR new board members that we would love to let you all know about!

Please give a warm welcome to Joylee Coffey, Kitana Sánchez, Jace Schmidt and Bill Williams!

Tomorrow, they will join the rest of the board members during our annual Board Retreat where we will discuss how this year went and where we want next year to go.

Whenever our next event is, be sure to meet our new board members and introduce yourself! 💚

Did you know that Corpus Christi is currently having a runoff election?

Six candidates are on the ballot in round two of the city election to determine who will represent District 1 and District 4 on the City Council, and who will be mayor of Corpus Christi.

Early voting is happening now through Dec. 10th, and Election Day is Saturday, Dec. 14th. We strongly encourage everyone to take part in voting and make your voice heard.

As of Wednesday, only 11% of the vote is by those under the age of 50. According to data from the Pew Research Center, the Boomer generation historically votes in a less favorable way for the LGBTQIA+ community.

We cannot continue to sit by quietly while we face growing discrimination by individuals supported by Michael Hunter in our own back yard.

Last night was a sentimental gathering for our LGBTQIA+ community to honor Transgender Day of Remembrance 🕯️

We are deeply grateful for being presented a Certificate of Appreciation for our support and services we provide to the transgender community here. It is something we will never stop fighting for.

Everyone in our LGBTQIA+ community needs protection more than ever right now, so continue to band together and hold each other up.

$Transgender Day of Remembrance is held in November to honor Rita Hester, whose murder on November 28, 1998, launched the “Remembering Our Dead” web project and a San Francisco vigil the following year. These 26 names are only a fraction of our transgender family that were identified and reported this year in the United States. The event provides a forum for transgender communities and allies to raise awareness of the threat of violence faced by gender variant people and the persistence of prejudice felt by the transgender community. Join us, Corpus Christi LGBT, Trans Justice Funding Project, and the Coastal Bend Trans Alliance at the 9th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance Memorial and Vigil Wednesday, Nov. 20. at Grace Church Corpus Christi at 6301 Yorktown Blvd. Service begins at 7 p.m. with keynote speakers, a live vocalist, testimonials, and community awards.🕯️🏳️‍⚧️$
