A no-cost program that helps Coastal Bend employers train their staff to better serve and support our LGBTQIA+ community — and earn a certification you can display in your business.
Why this matters
A meaningful share of the Coastal Bend identifies as LGBTQIA+, and many more are family, friends, and allies. Visible safe workplaces — ones where staff have been trained to use the right language, recognize accessibility needs, and de-escalate respectfully — build trust, attract loyal customers, and retain great employees.
Our Safe Workplace program is how local businesses signal that work. It's free, evidence-based, and on your schedule.

Submit a quick application. We'll review and follow up with next steps within a few business days.

Invite your team
From your dashboard, invite your staff by email. They get a personal one-tap link — no passwords to remember.

Trainings & quizzes
Each team member completes the required trainings (text + optional video + optional audio narration) and a short knowledge check. ~15–20 minutes per training.

Get certified
Once 80% of your active employees have completed all required trainings, we auto-issue your certificate. Download the PDF, post it in your business, renew annually.

Community basics: acronyms, the four-box mental model, pronouns, and why our work in the Coastal Bend matters.
Show off your certification
Once you're certified, we hand you a downloadable PDF for printing — plus an embeddable website badge that links to a public verification page on our site so customers can confirm your status is current. Here's what they look like:
Each badge links back to a verification page on pridecorpuschristi.com showing your name, certificate number, and current status. If your certification ever lapses, every embedded copy updates automatically — no manual swap required.
Prefer to start in person?
We offer in-person Lunch & Learn sessions for teams that want an interactive introduction to the program. A board member visits your office for an hour and a half, walks through the material, and answers questions. Email-based follow-up after.

How much does this cost?
Nothing. The program is free for any Coastal Bend employer that wants to participate.
How long does it take per employee?
Each required training is roughly 15–20 minutes, including the quiz. Staff can do them on their own time, on any device.
What if our team turns over?
The cert math runs against your currently active employees, recalculated on every completion. New hires need to complete the required trainings within the year for you to keep your cert at renewal.
How long is the certification valid?
One year. We'll send reminder emails 90, 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration so you can plan renewal.
Where can we display the certificate?
However you like — printed in-store, on your website, in your email signature, in job postings. The PDF is yours to use as long as it's current. We also give you an embeddable website badge with copy-paste HTML that links back to a public verification page on our site, so visitors can confirm your certification is real and current.
