Weather has had its way with the Great Lawn, so we are moving the Pride Parade and Block Party one week later. Both now take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the same place along the bayfront, with the same free admission.
Postponing was not a decision we made lightly, and we know it rearranges plans for marchers, vendors, volunteers and families who had the first Saturday circled. Thank you for rolling with it. The grounds need the extra week, and we would rather give you a Great Lawn that is safe to stand on, set up a booth on and dance on.
What stays the same
- Parade: staging opens at 2:00 PM and step-off is at 4:30 PM on Shoreline Blvd. by Water’s Edge Park.
- Block Party: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the Great Lawn at Water’s Edge Park.
- Cost: watching the parade and attending the Block Party are free. The Block Party is all ages and no ticket is needed.
- Grand Marshals: Brittany Andrews leads the parade as Grand Marshal, with Ellison Powers as Emerging Leader Grand Marshal. You can read about both on the Grand Marshals page.
What is still moving
A date change of this size ripples through everything else. Over the next week there will be changes to the event line-up and adjustments to both the parade order and the vendor layout, as participants tell us whether the new Saturday works for them. We will update the parade page and the Block Party page as those details are settled, so check back before the weekend rather than relying on anything you printed or screenshotted earlier.
The after party at Retro has been moved as well. New details will be announced once they are confirmed.
Applications are open again, through October 8
Because the date moved, applications have reopened. If the first Saturday did not work for you but October 10 does, you can still join us. Applications close Wednesday, October 8, 2026. One application covers both entering the parade and vending at the Block Party, and you can start it on the apply page.
Parade entry fees depend on who you are. Walking as a solo individual or a family is free, as is entering as a school organization, student club or student group, an entertainment or performance group, or a sponsor. A small nonprofit entry is $60, as is a faith-based organization; a medium nonprofit or a commercial business is $80; a large nonprofit is $120; a political candidate entry is $75.
Block Party booths work the same way. Local arts and crafts booths are $30, a small nonprofit 10′ x 10′ booth is $50 (or $75 for a 20×10 expanded space), a for-profit 10′ x 10′ booth is $85 (or $125 expanded), a large nonprofit booth is $140 (or $185 expanded), a political candidate booth is $45, and sponsor booths are complimentary. Food truck spaces are $150.
Food trucks do not pick a spot. Spaces in the food truck area, which has power hook-ups, are first come, first served on the day. The participant guide and the vendor guide cover the rest of the practical details for marchers and vendors.
Who you will find on the Great Lawn
As of today, 48 vendor listings are approved for this year, five of them food trucks, and that number may shift as the week goes on. If you have not been before, last year’s Block Party gives a good sense of the mix: fruit cups and aguas frescas from 2V Fruit Cups & Snacks, mini tacos and flautas from Chelitos Delights, kettle corn, hand-squeezed lemonade, wire-wrapped jewelry and woodworking from local makers, a hands-on art activity from the Art Museum of South Texas, free and confidential screenings in the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation’s mobile testing unit, and voter registration with the Nueces County Democratic Party. It is a few hours of neighbors selling, serving, informing and catching up with each other.
Thank you to our sponsors
Thirteen sponsors are behind this year’s parade and Block Party, led by title sponsor Hicks Family Subaru. They include AEP Texas, Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Coastal Bend Association of REALTORS, Herrman and Herrman, Laguna Wealth Services, BK Real Estate, Blaze & Goode, Feathered Friends, PowerUp.org, Retro, and Dr Jack McIntyre & Libby Averyt. Their support is what keeps both events free to attend.
See you on the bayfront on October 10.
