Block Party Vendor Guide
How the day runs on October 3, 2026 — where to put your vehicle, who to find if something goes wrong, and how we help you promote your business afterwards.
The short version
- No vehicles left on the Great Lawn — unload, then move it.
- Nothing parked on the parade route before the parade ends. You may be towed.
- Vehicles back on the Great Lawn only at official tear-down, 10 PM.
- Tell us in advance if you are bringing a generator.
- Bring your own battery lighting, and your own sound if you are far from the stage.
- Emergencies and questions: the blue or purple Pride Corpus Christi tent.
Before you come
Thank you for vending with us. This covers how the day runs, where to put your vehicle, who to find if something goes wrong, and how we help you promote your business afterwards. Read the vehicle section even if you read nothing else.
Arriving & finding your spot
When you arrive, look for the numbered markers on the ground — these show you exactly where your space is. You will also have a handout and map with your placement on it.
If you cannot find your spot, or anything looks wrong, find a Pride Corpus Christi volunteer. Please ask rather than guess: setting up in the wrong space means moving everything again later.
Vehicles — please read
Vehicles may not remain parked on the Great Lawn. Driving on for initial set-up is fine, but move your vehicle off promptly once you have unloaded.
Do not park along the parade route at any point before the parade finishes. A vehicle left on the route by parade start time may be towed. This is not us being difficult — the route has to be clear.
Vehicles are not permitted back onto the Great Lawn until official tear-down at 10 PM.
Safety & who to find
If you have an emergency or need help of any kind, head for the blue or purple Pride Corpus Christi tent.
We have private security on site. They are an LGBTQIA+ affirming firm — many of them are parents of LGBTQ+ children, or LGBTQIA+ themselves.
Police presence is required as a condition of our permit with the City of Corpus Christi. In practice they generally stay on the outskirts of the site and leave our private security to work inside the event.
During the event
The block party usually has people wandering the space before the parade starts, so expect visitors earlier than you might think — be ready.
Bring battery-operated lighting for your space. We put up large lighting towers for the evening, but they light the site, not your table.
You are welcome to play your own music, as long as it does not compete with the stage. The further you are from the stage and its sound system, the more we encourage you to bring your own.
Power, generators & sound
We do not provide generators, and we do not provide set-up or tear-down help. Plan to be self-sufficient.
If you intend to run a generator, tell us in advance so we can place you sensibly — usually further from the stage. If we find an unannounced generator during set-up near the stage, or anywhere it will cause interference, we will move you to a better space. That is about sound quality for everyone, including you.
Tear-down
Tear-down typically begins around 9–10 PM.
If you sell out or simply want to finish early, you are welcome to pack up and close at any point during the event. The one fixed rule is vehicles: none on the Great Lawn until official tear-down at 10 PM, however early you finish.
Photos & promoting your booth
Our photographers will be taking pictures of you and your booth through the day. We share them with you within about 72 hours of receiving them, so you can use them to promote your business. They appear in your participant portal.
Our website carries a map and vendor directory so visitors can see who is where and what they are selling. Please keep your public listing current — website, social links and photos of your goods. Vendors with a filled-in listing get noticeably more foot traffic than a name on a map.
Food vendors
If you are selling food, or operating a food truck, expect the City of Corpus Christi to contact you directly about permits and inspection. That process is between you and the City — we cannot complete it on your behalf, so please respond to them promptly.
