GROUP SELECTS OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR, SETS SIGHTS ON PRIDE 2022

(CORPUS CHRISTI) – The officers for the Mosaic Project of South Texas for calendar year 2022 were selected recently at the non-profit organization’s annual meeting. Jonathan Swindle, who has been a member of the Board since 2019 was elected as the new President. Long-time Treasurer Bill Hoelscher was re-elected for another year. Liza Wisner, who became Secretary in October 2020, was elected to another term as Secretary.

The all-volunteer Board consists of 8-members. In addition to Swindle, Hoelscher and Wisner, members of the Board include Barton Bailey of the Coastal Bend PRIDE Center, Revolve One Podcast co-host Crystal Garcia, Wienerschnitzel restaurateur Bill Richmond, Attention Promo’s owner Randy Stubbs, and St. Paul United Church of Christi pastor Reverend Dana Worsham on the Board. Hoelscher is the Executive Director of the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation. Swindle and Wisner are local business people. There are four openings currently on the Board, which will be filled at a future date.

“As the incoming President of The Mosaic Project of South Texas, I am honored to serve the LGBTQIA+ community in Corpus Christi for 2022,” said Jonathan Swindle, President of the TMPST. “Over the years, I have witnessed the board’s collective effort to further the wellbeing of our city while recognizing the diverse representation of its citizens. It is my intent to further strengthen this collaborative nature of our region as we pursue an enhanced quality of life through entertainment, awareness, education and experience.”

The mission of the Mosaic Project of South Texas, Inc., is to create an inclusive community by promoting the wellbeing and equality of the LGBTQIA+ community, through love and mutual respect. It does so by producing events, programs, and activities that foster a sense of community, encourages LGBTQIA+ citizens to live openly and with pride, and educate the public of our shared cultural heritage. It also seeks to build and strengthen relationships among participating individuals, community groups, and businesses that share the common goal of preserving and championing the dignity and respect of the LGBTQIA+ community.
