Corpus Christi, TX – April 25, 2024- Pride Corpus Christi is proud to announce the upcoming launch of KBAE, a progressive LPFM (Low Power FM) radio station designed to uplift LGBTQIA+ voices and provide a platform for a variety of community-oriented programming. The station is set to launch in June, coinciding with the organization’s Pride Month initiatives.

KBAE is more than just a radio station; it is a beacon of equity for the LGBTQIA+ community in Corpus Christi and beyond. The programming will focus on removing barriers and combating discrimination, with a commitment to uplifting local voices and providing valuable resources to the community. From educational segments and access to medical care information to showcases of local musicians and affirming church sermons, KBAE aims to be a vital part of the community’s daily life.

This station is about uniting local voices on one platform, promoting empathy and respect for others. Although the station embraces LGBTQIA+ voices, it’s open to anyone who embodies these values.

KBAE is a modern initiative that goes beyond traditional FM broadcasting. Though the station will air on 89.1 FM in Corpus Christi, it will also expand into digital content, including podcasts, community articles, and various media formats.
