Empowering Our Community: Announcing Free Mental Health Support Groups

Launching March 3rd – Essential Support for Transgender Men, Transgender Women, and Non-Binary Individuals

At a time when federal policies—such as reverting passports and altering gender markers—threaten to erase transgender identities, our community needs robust support systems more than ever. As the parent non-profit organization overseeing Pride Corpus Christi, The Mosaic Project of South Texas is proud to launch a series of mental health support groups in partnership with Strengthening Wellness.

Tailored Support Groups for Specific Identities

Our mental health support initiative features three specialized groups designed to address the unique experiences of each community:

  • Transgender Men – Focused on the distinct challenges and successes experienced by transgender men.
  • Transgender Women – A dedicated space addressing the needs and experiences of transgender women.
  • Non-Binary Individuals – Providing a safe environment for those who identify outside the traditional gender binary.

Small Group Sessions for Personalized, Clinically Effective Care

Each support group session is intentionally limited in size to create an intimate and secure environment for every participant. This approach allows our mental health professionals to deliver targeted, evidence-based care and facilitate meaningful dialogue—key factors for achieving clinical efficacy.

Collaborating for Community Resilience: The Mosaic Project of South Texas & Strengthening Wellness

This initiative is a dynamic collaboration between The Mosaic Project of South Texas and Strengthening Wellness. By uniting grassroots advocacy with professional mental health expertise, we are building a support network that addresses the unique challenges faced by transgender and non-binary individuals, as well as the broader LGBTQIA+ community.
