For one evening every October, the bayfront belongs to us. The 10th Pride Corpus Christi Parade steps off at 4:30 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, along Shoreline Blvd. by Water’s Edge Park.
Floats, banners, marching groups and music, and everyone else lining the route to cheer them past. It is free, it is open to all, and no ticket has ever been needed. Bring a chair, bring a flag, bring whoever you love.
Who leads it
Each year the community chooses the people who go out front — the ones who have done the work, often quietly, and often when it was not easy to.
Brittany Andrews leads as Grand Marshal. Ellison Powers leads as Emerging Leader Grand Marshal.
Johnny Hotcakes & Kitana Sanchez call the parade as it passes, so you know who is rolling by and why they are there. It is presented by Hicks Family Subaru, whose support is what puts it on the street.
Want to be in it?
Businesses, churches, student groups, nonprofits, teams, families and neighbors all march. You do not need a float — plenty of entries are simply a group of people and a banner. Registration closes September 30.
When the last entry passes, it does not stop — the Block Party picks up where the route ends.
Don’t let it sneak up on you
We’ll email you twice — the week before, and on the morning of the parade — with the times, the route and where to stand. Nothing else.
Pride Corpus Christi began as a response. On June 12, 2016, forty-nine people were killed at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando. CCLGBT organized a candlelight vigil here in response, and it was that gathering that sparked the re-emergence of Pride in Corpus Christi. The first Pride Corpus Christi was held downtown the following year, and there has been a parade every year since.
The march is older than we are. On June 28, 1969, patrons of the Stonewall Inn in New York fought back against a police raid; the first Pride marches followed a year later. Every parade since has been both a celebration and a demonstration, and ours is no different.
We keep our own history too. Our Community Lives is the archive where it lives — recorded in the words of the people who were here for it.
The parade falls in October, which is LGBT History Month in the United States. Marching down Shoreline in daylight is itself part of the record — and every year of it is something the archive will hold.

They are not announcers so much as the reason the route stops moving. Groups pull up in front of them and give it everything — a full routine, a song, a chant — and the shout-out comes straight back out to the crowd.

They'll be joining the Pride Corpus Christi Pride Parade with both a vehicle entry and a walking group, so watch for their team celebrating accessible, affirming healthcare along the route. Give them a cheer as they pass, and look for their presence as a reminder that everyone deserves quality preventive and primary care close to home.

Saint Paul United Church of Christ is joining the Pride Corpus Christi Pride Parade with a float, riders, and marchers walking alongside with banners and flags. As a local affirming church, they bring a welcoming presence to the route, celebrating community and inclusion. Look for friendly faces and festive spirit as they pass by, and give them a cheer as they share their message of love for all.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Corpus Christi (affectionately known as U2C3) is a welcoming congregation to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, races, ethnicities, and abilities, and we unconditionally welcome you as your full authentic self. Coastal Bend Stonewall Democrats will be walking in the Pride Corpus Christi Pride Parade with plenty of spirit and cheer. They typically bring banners and protest signs honoring the Stonewall Riots, music, and even a bubble machine, blending activism with celebration. Watch for a group that reminds the crowd Pride is both a protest and a party, and give them a big cheer as they pass by.

Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation is a community-based nonprofit leading health and wellness initiatives through treatment, awareness, education, advocacy and services for the Corpus Christi area. In the Pride Corpus Christi Pride Parade, they'll be riding along as a mobile health unit, bringing their vehicle down the route. Look for them and give a cheer as they celebrate their ongoing work supporting the community's health and wellbeing.
Down South Rhythm Shakers, a dance group, is joining the Pride Corpus Christi Pride Parade this year, bringing their moves to the route by float, car and on foot. Watch for their energetic performance as they make their way through the parade, and be ready to cheer them on as they dance by. It's a fun one to catch along the lineup.
