Each year, Pride Corpus Christi honors outstanding individuals who embody the spirit of leadership, advocacy, and resilience within our LGBTQIA+ community. Through the roles of Grand Marshal, Emerging Leader Grand Marshal, and Drag/Diva Grand Marshal, we recognize the many ways our community members and allies contribute to progress, visibility, and joy.
The Grand Marshal is selected for their significant and lasting contributions to advancing equality and visibility in the Coastal Bend, serving as a beacon of advocacy and support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Emerging Leader Grand Marshal highlights the next generation of changemakers—young leaders whose energy, innovation, and commitment inspire hope and ensure the future of our movement.
The Drag/Diva Grand Marshal celebrates the artistry, courage, and cultural impact of drag and performance, honoring those who use their stage and voice to uplift, advocate, and bring our community together.
Our board of directors thoughtfully deliberates each year to select honorees who reflect the values of inclusivity, equality, and positive change. Pride Corpus Christi is fortunate to be part of a community rich with passionate advocates and allies, and we are proud to showcase their achievements during the annual Pride Parade.
Grand Marshal
Bill Williams
Bill Williams is a cornerstone of Corpus Christi’s LGBTQIA+ community. As the manager of The Hidden Door, he has cultivated one of the city’s most welcoming and inclusive nightlife venues, providing a stage where local drag performers, musicians, and artists can shine.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station with a degree in Business Management, Bill built a career in real estate, mortgage lending, and banking before becoming the General Manager of The Hidden Door, the city’s oldest and last remaining LGBTQIA+ bar. Under his leadership, The Hidden Door has flourished as both a cultural hub and a safe space for connection, celebration, and creative expression. He is also a graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi.
Bill’s community service spans decades. During the AIDS crisis, he helped raise funds for The Passage, a hospice for patients with AIDS, and The Loving Spoonful, which provided meals for those living with HIV and AIDS. Through efforts with the Wellness Foundation, The Hidden Door, and the Texas Riviera Empire, Bill helped raise money for Christmas presents and school supplies for children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS. He has also supported The Rainbow Room, a nonprofit serving children entering foster care, and has traveled nationwide to assist other Courts in the International Imperial Court System with their charitable fundraising.
As President of the Texas Riviera Empire, Bill continues this legacy, stewarding one of the nation’s oldest LGBTQIA+ charitable organizations and strengthening connections between Corpus Christi and LGBTQIA+ communities nationwide.
Beloved for his generosity, humor, and steadfast commitment, Bill is known as a good listener, trusted advisor, and friend to all. As Brittany Andrews says: “He’s everybody’s friend.” Bill shared his life with his late partner for 33 years, and the two were able to marry before his partner’s passing. His commitment to family, friends, work, and community reflects the spirit of Pride—one of resilience, service, and love.
Drag/Diva Grand Marshal
Isis Paris York
Isis Paris York is a Corpus Christi native and dynamic performer whose artistry has fueled and uplifted the Coastal Bend’s queer cultural scene for the past eight years.
She is the co-owner of AZUL Entertainment, which has brought shows and events to Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Robstown, Driscoll, Bishop, Ingleside, Portland, and other communities across the region. Through AZUL, Isis has created opportunities for new and emerging entertainers, expanding stages for talent throughout South Texas.
She is best known locally as the host of the Isis Paris York Show, a recurring event at The Hidden Door she has helmed for the past three years, inviting entertainers from across Texas to showcase their gifts for Corpus Christi audiences. Isis has also emceed major Pride celebrations, including the Pub Crawl, bringing both glamour and leadership to the city’s LGBTQIA+ festivities.
As a founding member of Qommittie, a national organization advocating for the rights of drag entertainers, Isis has been outspoken in the fight against drag bans, powerfully stating: “Drag is a job, and now drag is political… drag is a protest.” With her platform, she not only builds a career for herself and others, but also speaks out boldly for visibility, equity, and the transformative power of queer performance.
Emerging Leader Grand Marshal
Conor Rice
Conor Rice is a Gen Z organizer and advocate from Corpus Christi who has dedicated his work to fighting for fairness, inclusion, and accountability at every level of government.
At the Texas Capitol, he has testified against school vouchers that drain resources from public schools, spoken out against book bans that silence diverse voices, and stood firmly against attacks on LGBTQIA+ Texans.
In his hometown, Conor led the push for a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policy at Corpus Christi ISD, aiming to make schools a safer, more affirming place for LGBTQIA+ youth. Although the effort was blocked amid state-level attacks on inclusion—and Texas has since gone further by making GSAs illegal—Conor’s advocacy underscored both the urgent need and the uphill battle facing queer youth in South Texas.
From City Hall meetings to statehouse hearings, Conor has built a reputation as a fearless advocate who speaks truth to power, challenges injustice, and amplifies voices too often ignored. His activism is rooted in one belief: South Texas deserves leaders who will fight for every family, every community, and every young person’s right to live with dignity, safety, and freedom.

Parents with Pride
Parents with Pride was created as a direct response to harmful rhetoric and policies in 2023, particularly targeting parents who support their transgender children.
Parents with Pride was created as a direct response to harmful rhetoric and policies in 2023, particularly targeting parents who support their transgender children. In a time when some lawmakers suggested parents could be liable for affirming their LGBTQIA+ children, these parents united to send a powerful message of love and solidarity—marching proudly with their children and one another. Recognizing this collective courage, Pride Corpus Christi honored this group rather than a single individual, celebrating their unwavering commitment to their children’s rights and well-being.
