PRIDE Block Party to Feature Food Trucks, Beer Garden, Pro Wrestling, and Numerous Vendors

There will be many firsts at this year’s PRIDE Corpus Christi Block Party on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Water’s Edge Park. The Block Party will immediately follow the conclusion of the PRIDE Parade. There is no admission cost to attend the PRIDE Block Party.

Nine of Corpus Christi’s best food truck vendors will be dishing up food and drinks. The number of food truck vendors for the event has grown from only a handful to the maximum of nine available spaces.  The food truck vendors will be located on Park Avenue adjacent to the south entrance of the Block Party.  The food truck vendors at the PRIDE Block Party will be: Divine Treats, Kono Pizza, Papa Lumpia House, Rainbo Snoball, Katy’s Snack Shack, Taquitos Mi Tierra, HiHo on the Go, Southern Belle Diner and Mr. G’s BBQ.

Budweiser products will be available for purchase at a Beer Garden operated by the Police Athletic League. Local Budweiser distributor L&F Distributor will attempt to have limited edition Bud Light rainbow aluminum bottles available.

Crowning the first-ever Pride of Texas Heavyweight Champion will be the main event of five professional wrestling matches featured during the PRIDE Corpus Christi Block Party. Johnny Crews takes on Joey Romero for the belt. The first match begins at 5 p.m.

The Block Party will feature a variety of vendors – arts and crafts, community organizations, non-profits, businesses, snacks, food, and much more.

“We are pleased to partner with these wonderful business people to help make the PRIDE Block Party a very festive and fun-filled event,” said Bill Hoelscher, President of the Mosaic Project of South Texas, the non-profit organization responsible for putting on PRIDE Week. “We welcome anyone and everyone in the Coastal Bend to be a part of this celebration of diversity, unity, and equality.”
