Corpus Christi’s Annual Pride Parade and Block Party Returns on October 7

Corpus Christi, TX – September 19, 2023 – Pride Corpus Christi is excited to announce the return of its annual Pride Parade and Block Party on October 7, 2023. With its inception in 2016, this year marks the fifth official Pride Parade and Block Party, rekindling the spirit of unity and inclusivity in the Coastal Bend.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Shoreline Blvd., the parade will commence from the Art Center of Corpus Christi at 4 PM, with staging beginning at 3 PM. The picturesque route will conclude at the south lot for Water’s Edge Park, promising attendees an evening of revelry under the stars.

Pride Corpus Christi invites everyone to be part of this vibrant procession. “Last year saw over 500 marchers and with this year’s Grand Marshal group ‘Parents with Pride’ and the involvement of esteemed civic groups such as the Human Rights Campaign and Equality Texas, we are gearing up for an even grander celebration,” stated Jonathan Swindle, President of Pride Corpus Christi.

Following the parade, attendees can join us for free at The Great Lawn at Water’s Edge Park from 5 PM to 10 PM for the Pride Block Party. Boasting live music by TomCat, JME the Dream and Moniq, captivating performances by AZUL Entertainment and Robyn Valentine, an assortment of vendors such as All Saint Episcopal Church and Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, food trucks like Kona Ice and R&B Funnel Cakes, and the comfort of an air-conditioned entertainment tent powered by Planet 102.3 and MC’d by their very own Eric Ramirez, the event promises an immersive Corpus Christi experience.

Both the parade and the block party are free events thanks to our many sponsors including HEB, the Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation and Maxor, emphasizing Pride Corpus Christi’s commitment to inclusivity and community celebration. Potential vendors and parade participants are encouraged to sign up by September 29 at PrideCorpusChristi.com, ensuring they secure their spot in this monumental event.

Pride Corpus Christi’s event serves as both a celebration and a call for unity. Every participant, whether marching, attending, or supporting, contributes to the powerful narrative of a City that stands united in its diversity.
