The Mosaic Project of South Texas and Pride Corpus Christi invite you to participate in the second annual Community Needs Survey.
Last year, over a hundred and thirty community members across South Texas raised their voices through our inaugural Community Needs Survey, and the results were powerful. Your responses directly informed new programs like our free Mental Health Support Groups with Strengthening Wellness, the Transgender Resource Initiative providing essential resources in partnership with the Coastal Bend Trans Alliance, and the Inclusive Youth Art Program (Art Out Loud) with KSpace Contemporary.
This year, we need your voice again.

Why Take the Survey Again?

Whether you participated last year or this is your first time, your responses matter now more than ever. Here’s why:
If you took the survey last year, your return is especially valuable. By using the same date of birth and email address, we can compare your responses year over year to measure how our community’s needs are changing. This data is critical for demonstrating real impact, or identifying where challenges have worsened, when we report to current and prospective grant funders. In a political climate where federal and state government policies are directly affecting LGBTQIA+ lives, having year-over-year data allows us to tell the true story of how our community is faring and where support is most urgently needed.
If you’re new to the survey, welcome! Your perspective will help us build a more complete picture of the LGBTQIA+ experience in South Texas. The survey covers topics like healthcare access, education, employment, community safety, and more; all of which shape the programs and services we create.

What’s New This Year

Based on what we learned in Year 1, we’ve made some updates:
  • Healthcare Deep Dive — Last year, healthcare was overwhelmingly identified as the area of community support needing the most improvement. This year, if you select healthcare, we’ll ask a quick follow-up about which specific area, from mental health services and gender-affirming care to insurance affordability and culturally competent providers, you believe has the most significant local deficit.
  • Youth Events — We’ve added youth events as a community priority option, reflecting growing demand for safe, affirming spaces for younger community members.
  • Program Discovery — As you answer certain questions, you may see information about programs and resources that are relevant to you, including our mental health support groups, the Transgender Resource Initiative, Unity 89.1 FM, the Our Community Lives LGBTQIA+ history archive, and more.

What You’ll Receive

As a thank-you for your time, every participant will receive a one-time-use promotional code that can be redeemed for:
  • credit toward future Pride Corpus Christi events, or
  • free Pride 2026 shirt (limited availability, while supplies last) when they are announced
If you provide an email address, we’ll send your code directly to your inbox. Otherwise, it will be displayed on screen after you submit, so be sure to copy it!

Your Privacy Matters

The survey asks for your date of birth (required) and email address (optional). These identifiers allow us to track community-wide trends from year to year and connect returning participants’ responses for longitudinal analysis. Your individual answers are never shared publicly. If you prefer to remain completely anonymous, simply leave the email field blank.

How to Participate

The survey takes just a few minutes and can be completed on any device. Visit the Community Needs Survey page on our website to get started.
Whether you’re a long-time community member, an ally, a veteran, a student, or someone who recently moved to South Texas, your experience and perspective are part of the story we’re telling. And that story is what helps us secure the funding, build the programs, and advocate for the policies that make our community stronger.
Take the survey. Tell your story. Help us make a difference, together.
