Election Day 2026: Vote in Nueces County

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 is Election Day. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nueces County uses countywide vote centers, so registered voters can vote at any vote center in the county, not only the one closest to home. If you are in line by 7 p.m., you can still vote.

Before you go

• Check your registration and see your sample ballot at VoteTexas.gov or the Nueces County Elections Department.
• Bring an approved photo ID: a Texas driver’s license, Texas election identification certificate, Texas personal ID card, Texas handgun license, U.S. military ID with photo, U.S. citizenship certificate with photo, or U.S. passport. An ID expired up to four years still counts, and for voters 70 and older any expired ID counts.
• No photo ID and can’t reasonably get one? You can still vote. Sign a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and show a supporting document such as your voter registration certificate, a utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or government document with your name and address.
• Name on your ID a little different from your registration? If it is substantially similar, you initial a similar-name box when you sign in and vote as usual.
• Curbside voting is available at every vote center. Call (361) 888-0303.
• Trouble at the polls? Ask for the election judge, or call the nonpartisan Election Protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).
